Our Love Story

TLDR: Our Entire Relationship

Fall 2015 University of Waterloo

Sarah and Dan started their University of Waterloo journey together, assigned to the same frosh group. However, Dan never showed up to any of the activities. He instead chose to pick-up shifts folding jeans at Mark's Work Wearhouse. Despite this setback, they quickly became friends.

August 2018 Osheaga Festival

Dan visited Sarah in Montreal to go to Osheaga. It was this weekend that Dan completely (and soberly) fell for Sarah. No one knows the exact moment it happened — the whirling carnival ride or listening to Florence & The Machine — but Dan really thought there could be something more to this.

October 2018 Dating.

Much to the annoyance of nearly everyone around him, Dan would not stop talking about his secret feelings for Sarah. Eventually, he gave her a letter saying how he felt and in return, Sarah gave him a chance. A few days later they went on their first date to feed baby goats on a chilly Fall day.

Spring 2020 They were roommates!

After graduating, Dan lived in Kitchener and Sarah spent time in Sarnia, Montreal, and Toronto. Luckily, something serendipitous and magical was about to happen: a global pandemic. Sarah moved into Dan’s childhood home until a rat infestation throughout the basement walls encouraged them to get an apartment of their own in downtown Kitchener.

August 22, 2024 Fidanzati

Dan asked Sarah to take his hand in marriage while in Iceland, exploring the black sand beaches of Vik. While the ring did not fit around her finger, Sarah still said yes, and they spent the next five weeks celebrating their love all throughout Italy, Greece, and Portugal. Next up... our wedding day!

Q&A

Let's answer those questions!

Guests & RSVPs

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by April 15th, so we can have an accurate headcount.

Are kids welcome?

As much as we love hanging out with your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception.

Can I bring a date?

We feel incredibly lucky to have so many loved ones in our lives. Unfortunately, our venue capacity means we can only welcome the guests specifically named on each invitation. Thank you so much for understanding.

Getting Ready

Where should I park?

There is plenty of free parking behind the barn.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes, and we will have a golf cart available for anyone needing assistance getting around the property!

What will the weather be like?

It will be late May in Canada. We're hoping for nice weather, but expecting that it may be a bit chilly. Make sure to pay attention to the weather closely as the date approaches and dress appropriately. Layers may be recommended since the ceremony will be outdoors while the reception will be indoors — with heating and air conditioning.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony is outdoors, but our reception will be in the barn with heating and air conditioning.

What's the dress code?

We love to get dressed up and invite you to join us! Our dress code is cocktail attire. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.

The Big Day

Is it okay to take pictures during the wedding?

Please do not take pictures during the ceremony — our photographers and videographers will capture the day. We will make photos available afterwards. However, during the rest of the day, feel free to take photos and videos... just make sure to share them with us afterwards!

What if I have an allergy or dietary restriction?

Let us know your dietary restrictions when filling out your RSVP. For over a decade now, Dan has been vegetarian / vegan. All of the food served during the day will be something everyone can eat and enjoy.

Will there be dancing?

Yes. Get ready to go nuts.

Is there transportation being provided between reception and hotels?

Since there are a variety of hotels and accommodations nearby, we are not providing designated transportation. However, after a night of drinking, you can order an Uber or a taxi to get home safe and sound. Just make sure to pick up your car before 9:00AM on Sunday.

Something else on your mind? Feel free to send us an email.

See you there?

Let us know if you're joining us on our special day.
